This year has been full of surprises; both good and bad, travel, creativity, new friends, etc.
Here is a photo journey of my year!
One of my objectives for 2016, was that I wanted to be sent products to review for my blog. I connected with a girl on Etsy, who loved my blog and sent me a few of her products.
I experimented with color in my hair!
I saw Bonnie Raitt in concert.
I got to interview and spend time with one of my role models, Alana Stewart. What a sweetheart she is!
I met Paula Abdul and had the opportunity to express how she has inspired me.
I took a fashion course through Parsons School of Design and became a certified fashion stylist.
I turned 21 and had a psychedelic Mad Hatter tea party.
I went to L.A. on a birthday trip this summer.
I saw Rod Stewart and Mariah Carey in concert.
Listened to Sophia Loren talk about her life.
Enjoyed my favorite season, which is fall. I went to the pumpkin patch, the cider mill, etc.
Had the pleasure of traveling to Las Vegas and Denver to spend time with some of my favorite people.
Flew to Portland and took a ferry to Seattle
For Halloween, I was Fran Fine from the TV show, "The Nanny" :)
Voted in my first election!
Saw one of my favorite musicians, Stevie Nicks, in concert!
My favorite pictures of myself from the year:
Looking back on my year...I took some questions from Into-Mind's blog and answered them below.
What was one new skill you learned?
How to sew
What was a lesson you learned?
To make my well-being a priority
What new habits did you cultivate?
Waking up earlier
Did you accomplish your goals?
I took a look at my vision board for 2016, and I did accomplish almost everything I set out to do. I am looking forward to creating a new vision board for 2017.

ReplyDeleteWow! What an amazing year you have had! I didnt reach all my goals...but there is always next year!
ReplyDeleteYou're such an awesome person and I truly value your existence in my life. I often keep up with your FB posts etc. as they inspire me and sometimes lift me up on a bad day. I'm so thankful for your years of friendship and the reassurance that time and distance don't mean anything once you've connected with someone. 2017... here's to the good, the bad, and - most importantly - everything we can learn from it!!! 😘😘😘
ReplyDeleteLauren, I love your photo essay. Between the great pics, and the as always eloquent commentary, I felt like we recapped the year together. Was a fantastic 2016, and an even better 2017 ahead.

I declined my acceptance to Parsons School of design in New York (maybe my only regret) but as you know have designed clothing. Did you do this locally or out of town? As always, thank you!
