Happy Monday! So, last month I turned 22 and in honor of that I am making a list of 22 things I would like to accomplish before I turn 23. I made a post like this last year and it was fun to look back on it and see what from the list was completed.
To see my post from last year, click here!
1. Continue to journal more
Besides sometimes finding it therapeutic to put my thoughts down on paper, I also like to journal about my adventures while traveling
2. Learn how to drive
3. Wake up earlier
If you know me, you'd know I'm definitely a night owl. I do enjoy mornings too...I just have to get myself on a schedule and make it a habit of being up more during the day.
4. Don't give into fear
Pursue my dreams. Be bold. Take risks. Do things out of my comfort zone.
Ex: Karaoke, being a vendor at a craft show etc
5. Be more active
Ex: Try a yoga class.
6. Organize/redecorate room
I really want to create a sacred space for myself, get more organized, and rid my closet of some clothes
7. Embrace Balance
Meditate more and continue practicing grounding techniques. Learn more about my chakra balance and imbalances
8. Let Go
Re-evaluate my relationships and cut ties that are toxic and not serving me
9. Visit an aquarium and explore some art museums
10. Continue to blog
Write personal blogs, network, and incorporate more interviews into my posting
11. Fill up a notebook
...With ideas, goals, dreams, observations, etc
12. Complete schooling program
Continue to study holistic nutrition
13. Travel to NYC
This one is staying on my list...because I really want to explore New York
14. Delve into my creative side
Begin painting and sketching more, start making videos again, etc
15. Read
Focusing on autobiographies, historical literature, fashion history, spiritual/self help, and art history books
16. Get published
I'd like write for a magazine or newspaper
17. Become more involved in temple and the local spiritual community
18. New experiences
Take a cooking class / Go to Painting With a Twist
19. Meet new, like minded people
I want to create a tribe and be surrounded and supported by amazing beings
20. Explore new music
I'd love to check out some local bands and try out new genres such as blues rock
21. Travel
This is a constant in my life. I want to travel to new places in the course of this year. I'd love to take a train, since it's something I've never done
22. Continue practicing gratitude and always help others when I can
This one is super important to me and something I never want to lose sight of
My mantra for this year: I am enough

Great list here. You have a lot to do with self discovery and improvement here which is great. These are all great things to learn and do as a young adult. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour blog has partly inspired me to start blogging too - when I'm ready. At the moment things are a little crazy 😊😊😊
ReplyDeleteGreat idea - I will be sharing with my teen and young adult clients!
ReplyDeleteThe blog post title made me a little sad. I just turned 24 and I realised I will never be 23 again ever. :(
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, learning how to drive is an amazing experience. I enjoyed every moment of it and now I love driving. Hope you'll make the most out of it!
Love your list of things to do. I don't know if you're aware of it, but some of your items are interconnected...yoga class and getting centered. I haven't taken many yoga classes, but when I do take one, I feel like I'm floating after class. I know you'll love it!

ReplyDeleteGo get them honey!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great list of things to do! Definitely get to NYC. I went there for the first time two years ago and fell in love!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with achieving all your goals, I learnt to drive about the same age as you are now!
ReplyDeleteI strive to WAKE UP EARLY so I can be ACTIVE before anyone else gets up. I have been doing this for what feels like eons - and once you get into that routine... It will be addictive!
ReplyDeleteThese are great goals! I need to learn to drive and get more active too!
ReplyDeleteOoh, these are a lot of great goals!! You go girl! I definitely have a lot of goals once baby is here, including: run a half-marathon, start a podcast, and blog three times a week.
ReplyDeleteThese are all awesome things to do! I love your mantra for this year!
ReplyDeleteGetting published is also a goal of mine! A big one! I got my driving license few years back so ll good on that front. Good luck with all your goals!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great and fun list. I think you definitely could complete this in a year. I have an aerial yoga class scheduled for next week, that I'm super excited to try out but I have also taken traditional yoga as well as SUP yoga. I haven't been to NYC yet but is a def goal. This year I have focused on reading more and although I was down to a book a week I have had some really long books and less time in the summer but I'm at book 30 for the year; regardless it's more then I have ever read. Good luck to you.
ReplyDeleteAw good luck with your goals I have every faith you can smash it. I too need to strive for more balance and learn to let go x
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday. I turned 28 last month and I have to tell you this list is pretty awesome. I wish I had the mind to do stuff like this 6 years ago. I hope you have a great year and accomplish all your goals.
ReplyDeleteWaking up earlier has really been a huge improvement on my day. It gives me so much more sunlight.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list of things to accomplish! I'd also love to not give in to my fear as often, and make mornings less painful for myself. Good luck with this list!

ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting list of things to want to accomplish before you turn 23! Good luck with them, fingers crossed for you x
ReplyDeleteI think it's a brilliant idea. We should all celebrate our lives every year and set goals.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great list of things to do this next year. New experiences are always great things. And good luck with the getting published.
ReplyDeleteLove this list and can't wait to see your accomplishments! I absolutely love journaling both because I love looking back at my adventures & daily life, but also because I really feel a weight lifted off when I take time to write things down!
